Miami’s First Jewish Food and Wine Festival Set for November 4th with Special Guest Linda Gassenheimer

October 27, 2006—MIAMI, FL—Congregation Bet Breira announces Miami’s first Jewish Food & Wine Festival on Saturday, November 4th at 7:00 p.m. This celebration of Jewish culinary arts features television and radio personality, syndicated journalist and best selling author Linda Gassenheimer. Additionally, Wine News executive editor Todd Wernstrom will present a special kosher wine tasting seminar sponsored by Sunset Corners Fine Wine & Spirits. Writer Jen Karetnick will serve as judge for the festival dairy cook-off.
Linda Gassenheimer’s keynote presentation is titled “What’s on YOUR Plate? Fit delicious, healthy meals into our time-starved world and watch a special demonstration on Desserts Not to Die For—Have your cake without the weight.” The presentation features her newest book, Prevention’s Fit and Fast Meals in Minutes, available for signing at the event.
The Jewish Food & Wine Festival also features Jewish foods from around the world, kosher wine, beer and spirits tasting, cooking demonstrations and presentations, a silent food auction, cook-off and raffle prizes, and music by the Mazel Tones. Proceeds will help sustain Congregation Bet Breira of Miami and make it possible to provide programs and services to all. A portion of the proceeds will also be allocated to Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), the association for the wellbeing of Israel’s soldiers.

Linda Gassenheimer is a television and radio personality, syndicated journalist, best selling author, spokesperson, and food consultant.
